RAMINATOR Monster Truck To Crush Cars At Macon Saturday Night
Bob Brady Auto Mall Night Will Also Feature Plenty Of Racing Action
(Macon, IL) Macon Speedway officials are extra busy this week, as they prepare for their third race in eight days. On top of that, they are coming off their biggest of the year, the Herald & Review 100, which took place on Thursday night. That event drew a huge crowd and turned out to be a thriller that fans will be talking about for years to come. This Saturday’s event should be another good one, with everything from a monster truck crushing cars to several divisions of great racing action.
Headlining the event will be the annual visit of the Hall Brothers Racing RAMINATOR Monster Truck. The day begins with an early appearance at Bob Brady Auto Mall in Decatur, IL, before making the trek to Macon Speedway for the evening. Once there, the truck is in the front parking lot of the track until it’s time to thrill the fans with some car crushing action.
From a racing standpoint, many fans are ready for the return of the Midwest Stock Car Tour, which will have the Archers Alley Street Stocks racing extra laps for extra money in the Dean Garland Classic. Earl Park, IN driver, Jerrad Krick, currently leads the standings in the series by 8 over Oakley, IL’s Nick Macklin. Josh Griffith, Lance Evans, and Darrell Dick round out the current top five in points. Jeremy Nichols and Jason Maier have won the two series events in 2019. The Dean Garland Classic event will pay $800 to win and $80 to start.
Co-headlining the event, when it comes to the race program, will be the Sportsman Topless 40.  The race will pay extra money as the drivers race sans roof for the night. Taylorville, IL driver, Scott Landers, leads the division into the night with a 20-point advantage. Mitch Ringler is second, while Tim Bedinger, Joel Irvin, and Terry Myers complete the top five.
The Decatur Building Trades Pro Late Models, BillingsleyRewards.com Modifieds, Neal Tire & Auto Pro Mods, Hornets, and Micros By Bailey Chassis will also race.
Pit gates will open at 4:00, grandstands at 5:00, hotlaps will be at 6:00, and racing will take the green at 7:00. Grandstand admission will be $15 for adults and free for kids 11 and under.
