Casey's Night With MSSC Special Rescheduled For July 15
(Macon, IL) Mother Nature's wrath across Central Illinois has forced Macon Speedway officials to pull the plug on the Saturday, May 20 program. On tap was Casey's General Store night, featuring the Dean Garland Classic for the Midwest Street Stock Championship. Retired and Active military were also to be honored with free grandstand admission. All of the above items have been rescheduled as additions to the Miles Chevrolet Fireman's Ball night at the races on Saturday, July 15.
With the May 20 rainout, preparations now begin for a big doubleheader weekend at Macon Speedway. On Saturday, May 27, Bob Brady Auto Mall will present Raminator Monster Truck Night at the races. A Mega Bike Giveaway will also be held. There are already 35+ bikes scheduled to give to lucky children with more expected. Pro Late Models, Billingsley Elite Wash Modifieds, B-Mods, Big Ten Street Stocks, Sportsman, and Hornets are also scheduled to race.
The second part of the doubleheader weekend comes up on Memorial Day Monday, May 29. This year, the popular Miller Lite Twin 50's have moved to this date to make for a great evening of racing. On tap will be the Midwest Big Ten Series Super Late Models and Billingsley Elite Wash Modifieds running 50-lap features. Also scheduled are B-Mods, Street Stocks, Hornets, and Beach House Micros.
On Saturday, May 27, pits will open at 4:00, grandstands at 5:00, pill draw will end at 5:50 when the drivers meeting begins, hotlaps will begin at 6:00, and racing will take the green at 7:00. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults and free for kids 11 and under.
On Monday, May 29, everything is moved up an hour to allow for an earlier end time. Pit gates will open at 3:00, grandstands at 4:00, pill draw will end at 4:50 when the drivers meeting begins, hotlaps begin at 5:00, and racing will see the green at 6:00. Grandstand admission will be $15 for adults and free for kids 11 and under.
