Unzicker Wins Herald & Review 100

El Paso, IL driver Ryan Unzicker took the lead late in the race to claim the Herald & Review 100 for the UMP Late Models at Macon Speedway.  Jason Feger, Shannon Babb, Kevin Weaver, and Ryan Weaver completed the top five.  The race was a thriller with Brandon Sheppard and Bobby Pierce controlling the pace early before Unzicker came into the picture.

Kewaee, IL driver Ray Bollinger dominated his way to feature checkers in the Billingsley Towing UMP Modified feature event.  Brian Lynn took second with Kenny Wallace third, Chad Evans fourth, and Ken Schrader fifth.  22 Modifieds took the green.

Good side-by-side racing was the story of the night and it was no different in the B-Mod feature.  Tim Hancock, of Mt. Olive, IL, battled it out with Trey Harris in a door-to-door duel before Hancock was able to pull out front and cross the line in first.  Harris took second, while BJ Deal, Justin Durbin, and Thomas Riech completed the top five.

Racing will continue this coming Saturday, August 29 with the Griz 98.1 Fan Appreciation Night.  It will be 1/2 price grandstand admission.  For just $6, you can buy an adult ticket and hotdogs will be sold for $1.  The Big Ten Street Stocks, Billingsley Towing Modifieds, B-Mods, Hornets, Micros, and Kids Mods will also be in action.
