Macon Speedway just a week away from 70th season
MACON, Ill. – Fasten your seat belts. Macon Speedway is ready to drop the green flag on its 70th season of racing next Saturday Night April 18. With two test and tunes in the books the speedway is excited to swing open the gates on what’s sure to be an epic year.
The historic dirt track will open the season with the 8th Annual Spring Fling and the CEFCU Kid’s Club featuring Pro Late Models, Billingsley Towing Modifieds, Street Stock Big Ten Series, Sportsman, Outlaw Hornets and the Quick Car Series. Gates open at 5pm with racing starting at 7pm. General admission, Adults $12 with Children 11 and under FREE. The 70th Anniversary and the season opener Saturday, April 18th is sure to be a ground pounding good time for the whole family.
Macon Speedway is located nine miles south of Decatur on U.S. 51, then 0.6 miles west on Andrews Street, then south to 205 N. Wiles. Macon Speedway hosts racing every Saturday night, plus many weeknight specials.
