Non Winged Classic Announced For July 3 & 4 Weekend
MACON, Ill. – Two days of Non Winged Micro racing have been added to the heavy hitting Independence Day weekend at Macon Speedway. The July 3 & 4 event will highlight the POWRI Lucas Oil National Midget Series and Speedway Motors Outlaw Micros. Originally built as a midget track in 1946, the legendary fifth-mile high banked dirt oval always puts on a great show when the midgets and micros roll onto the track.
Paul Shelton has been working behind the scenes to create a big 2 day event for those that like to run without the wings. “All the details about the Non Winged Classic are still being worked on. Said Shelton, “but one thing that is for sure is your going to have a lot of racing with the event being tied to the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series and Speedway Motors Outlaw Micros.
