Rules for Chuck Foley Memorial Demolition Derby at Macon Speedway on August 23

2014 BONE STOCK RULES

Participant Regulations

Bone stock class is open to all men and women 15 and over. If under the age of
18 you must have a notarized permit signed by a parent/guardian.

Driver may move forward or backward. Driver must make contact every 60 seconds
or be disqualified. No sandbagging. If you sandbag the race will be stopped and
a sandbagger flag will be put on top of your car. You must show visible damage
or must move when hit.

Prize Money is different for each show. Check schedule for this.

Preparation of Cars

This class will be limited to 1980 or newer cars. All glass, chrome, pot metal,
carpet, headlights, tail lights and back seat must be removed. Anything
flammable must be removed before reaching exhibit area.

Mandatory

Must have number on both front doors and on roof. Must be big enough and bright
enough to read. Use your choice of number. No Profanity.

THE RULES BELOW ARE THE ABSOLUTE MAX YOU MAY DO TO A CAR

1.Dash must remain in car. 2.Stock gas tank can be used under car. If changed to inside it must be a metal fuel cell no exceptions. Must be secured properly and no fuel leakage. No more than 6 gallons of gas. 3.Battery may be relocated to inside of car but must be secured properly (1 automotive battery) 4.Hood must have a 5x5 hole cut in it to extinguish fires. Hood must open for inspection and must remain on hinges. You can use 8 pieces of chain 3/8. 6 in hood to fender and 2 from hood to bumper or you can use 9 wire the same way with 3 wraps per fastening spot. Must have windshield bar from top of windshield to top of firewall. You can use 9 wire, chain or 3 inch flat metal. 2 max in this area 5.Trunks must be on hinges. You can use 8 pieces of chain 3/8 in trunk. 6 to fasten trunk lid and 2 from trunk lid to bumper. Or you can use 9 wire the same way with 3 wraps per fastening spot. 6.Doors you can use 6 pieces of chain 3/8 per door or 6 pieces of 9 wire per door with 3 wraps. Drivers door only you can have a six inch piece of channel or equivalent from 6 inches in front of drivers door to 6 inches behind drivers door. May be welded or bolted. 7.TIRES: D.O.. approved light truck tires max.

2014 COMPACT & FIGURE 8 RULES

This class is open to all men and women 16 years old and over. 16 and 17 years
old must have a notarized permit signed by parent/guardian. Drivers must have a
driver’s license. In fairness to all the following rules and regulations shall
prevail.

Participant regulations

Driver may move forward or backward. Driver must make contact every 60 seconds
or be disqualified. No sandbagging. No team driving. Cars must move when hit or
show visible damage. No driver door hits allowed.

Prize Money is different for each show. It will be posted on our schedule page.

Entry Fee

Only fee is $30 pit pass. All drivers must sign waiver and release of liability before entering pit area or track. Entries will be
accepted up to 1 hour prior to show.

Preparation of Cars

WHEEL BASE WILL NOT EXCEED 106 INCHES. Measured from center of wheel to center
of wheel (must be factory 106 inches cannot move wheels in). No screws
allowed. NO PLASTIC GAS TANKS (heavy duty plastic racing fuel cells are
allowed). No wedging, no sedagons, no jeeps, trucks. NO PACERS ALLOWED. No
convertibles. All glass, chrome, pot metal, lights, carpet, headliner, back
seats, fiber glass (anything flammable) must be removed before reaching the
exhibit area. DO NOT BREAK GLASS IN DOORS. Trunks must be empty of all debris
(spare tires, rims, etc.). Absolutely no welding but what is stated in these
rules. Unlimited 9 wire. Mandatory you must have number on both front doors and
roof big enough to see and must be bright enough colors to be seen. No profanity
allowed on cars.

Engines

Must be 4 or 6 cylinders and must be in stock position.

Radiators

May be removed but not relocated

Transmission Coolers

ARE NOT ALLOWED

Battery

Must be in a secure position and be covered with something nonflammable (like
rubber floor mat). Batteries must be secure with no movement.

Suspension

Must remain stock. No trailer hitches, spacers, blocks, air shackles. Air lifts
must be deflated. Cars must have give or bounce.

Rear-ends

Must be GM to GM, Ford to Ford etc.

Drive Shafts/Drive train

MUST BE STOCK

Steering Column

May be modified from gear box to steering wheel. All other components must
remain stock.

Hood

Must be in factory position. 4 hood bolts allowed but only 2 can go to the
frame. They cannot go in front of the radiator. Bolts must not be bigger than ¾
with washers no larger than 6 inches outside diameter. Must have 2 holes cut in
hood big enough for fire extinguisher. Not directly over carburetor.

Trunk/Wagon tailgate/Hatches

You can use 4 ¾ bolts with washers not bigger than 6 inches outside diameter,
none to the frame. Trunk lids must remain on hinges. You may tuck the trunk but
no wedging and no sedagons. If you don’t bolt you may weld trunk 1 inch leave 6
inches. Hatches and wagon tailgates weld 1 inch leave 6 inches.

Body

No seam welding allowed. No patching allowed. Pre-denting is okay.

Fenders

Fenders may be trimmed. 10 bolts per fender may be used. Bolts are not to be no
bigger than 3/8 with washers no larger than 1 inch outside diameter.

Body mount bolts

Must be factory size and must be in factory location. Must have factory rubbers.

Frame

Absolutely no welding on frame. No reinforcing of frame. You can notch the
frame. NO PATCHING.

Doors

Doors may be welded solid with a strap no bigger than 3 inches, on the outside
only. Driver’s door should be reinforced.

Cage

You may have a cage with two side bars and three bars across. The cage cannot
extend past the dash area in the front and must be in front of the rear fender
wells in the back. This can be welded in. Absolutely no kickers. You may have a
halo bar. None of the cage or halo bars can connect to the frame, or to
windsheild bars or roof signs.

Bumpers

Must be compact bumpers. NO FULL SIZED BUMPERS (you may use a 80 or newer full
size bumper if it is cut down to width of car). You may weld the bumper on. You
may use 2 straps from bumper to frame 3x6x1/4 to keep bumper on. Bumper brackets
may be welded on. NO back brackets on front. NO shocks inside of frame unless it
was factory. Must be factory shocks off compact.

Gas Tank

Maximum 5 gallons of gas. Gas tank must be placed in back seat area and properly
secured. Tanks must be secured so there is no movement (DO NOT USE BUNGE CORDS
FOR THIS). If tank is not secure you will not be running, Tanks must have secure
lids and be leak proof. All fuel lines must have no leaks. Stock gas tanks in
cars must be removed or have holes in them and be washed out. You may run stock
tank if it is in front of rear axle. NO PLASTIC TANKS (exception heavy duty
plastic racing fuel cell). You must have a shield between gas tank and driver.
This shield must be metal or tin. This may be mounted with screws. NO FREON
TANKS WITH LEGS WELDED ON THEM.

Tires

Nothing bigger than D.O.T. light truck tires allowed. NO tire inside of tire. No
fork lift tires, no field tile inside of tires, no fluid inside of tires.
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING INSIDE OF TIRES BESIDES TUBE AND AIR. Valve stem protectors
are okay. NO implement tires.

Back window bars

You may use nine wire or a chain in back window area chain links cannot be
welded if you use chain you may use 2 3 x 3 plates to attach chain.

This is a stock type class do not exceed these rules. Do not do anything after
inspection to make car illegal. If this happens you will be disqualified with no
return of entry fee. Officials have the right to re-inspect cars at any time.

Safety Rules and Regulations

1.Cars must have at least one bar attached from roof down to dash area to
prevent hood from coming in.
2.Radiator over flow hoses must be pointed at the ground and fastened so they
cannot shoot water towards officials or other drivers.
3.Header pipes must be pointing straight up cannot be aimed towards front of
cars.
4.Note if you have a hole in the fire wall it should be covered.
5.Safety belts required.
6.D.O.T. approved helmets mandatory. Any driver using an open face helmet will
not be covered by insurance if facial injury occurs.
7.Safety glasses or shield recommended.
8.Mandatory-you must wear long pants and a shirt (fire suit recommended).
9.2 fires and you are out unless it’s a fuel fire then it’s just 1 fire and you
are out.
10.No alcoholic beverages or drugs allowed in pit area or on the track.
11.NO PIT PERSONS ALLOWED ON THE TRACK.
12.Note management does have the right to disqualify a car/driver at anytime.
Any person on track or causing trouble and not complying with the rules will be
asked to leave.
13.Protests must be made 5 minutes after the compact heat. Only Drivers are
allowed to protest a car. Officials will re-inspect the top cars.

8.THIS IS THE MAX OF WHAT YOU CAN DO ON A BONE STOCK CAR. DO NOT DO ANYMORE THAN THIS OR YOU WONT BE RUNNING THIS CLASS. 9.NO HEADER PIPES. 10.CLAIM RULE: A $500.00 CLAIM ON THIS CLASS. TO CLAIM A CAR YOU MUST BE IN THIS CLASS AND A DRIVER. YOU MUST TELL AN OFFICIAL THAT YOU WANT TO CLAIM A CAR. IF MORE THAN ONE CLAIM IS MADE NAME WILL BE DRAWN FROM A HAT. THE DRIVER TAT CLAIMED THE CAR AND THE DRIVER OF THE CAR THAT WAS CLAIMED WILL SWAP CARS AND $500.00 WILL GO TO DRIVER WHOSE CAR WAS CLAIMED. IF DRIVER DOESN'T FORFEIT THEIR CAR PRIZE MONEY WILL BE GIVEN TO NEXT PERSON IN LINE.

2014 SEMI MODIFIED STOCK RULES

Stock class is open to all men and women 16 and over. 16 and 17 year old must
have a notarized permit signed by parent/guardian. Driver must have a driver’s
license. In fairness to all, the following rules and regulations shall prevail.

PARTICIPANT REGULATIONS

Driver may move forward or backward. Driver must make contact every 60 seconds
or be disqualified. No sandbagging. If you sandbag the race will be stopped and
a sandbagger flag will be put on top of your car and whoever takes you out will
automatically advance to the feature. If there is a sandbagger in the feature
whoever takes him/her out will get $50.00. No team driving allowed not even on a
sandbagger. Cars must move when hit or show visible damage. No driver’s door
hits allowed.

PRIZE MONEY

Prize money is different at each show. Look at our schedule to find out the
prize money.

ENTRY FEE

no carryalls, no Hearst, no limos, no convertibles. All glass, chrome, pot
metal, lights, carpet, headliner, back seats, fiber glass and anything else that
is flammable must be removed before reaching the exhibit area (do not break
glass down in the doors). Trunks must be empty of all debris, spare tire rims,
parts, etc. Wagons must have spare tire flap removed or hole cut in it for
inspectors to see. ABSOLUTELY NO welding besides what is stated in these rules.
UNLIMITED 9-WIRE.

MANDATORY

You must have number on both front doors big enough to read and bright enough
color to see. Also must have number on roof with name on roof above front doors.
Use your choice of number. No profanity allowed on cars.

ENGINE

Engines must be Chevy to Chevy, Ford to Ford etc. stock only. MAKE SURE YOU READ
CLAIMER SECTION. You may use 2 chains to retain one on each side. You may use
header pipes.

RADIATORS

Stock

TRANSMISSION

No transmission coolers allowed. No protectors must be stock.

BATTERY

Must be in a secure position and be covered with something nonflammable like
rubber tube, rubber floor mat, etc. Batteries must be secured so they don’t
move. 2 12v batteries max.

SUSPENSION

Must remain stock. No weld on shocks, no trailer hitches, special lifts, blocks,
air shackles, air shocks, air lifts must be deflated. Cars must have give or
bounce.

REAR ENDS

Rear ends must be 5 lug, make and model of car. Locking of rear ends permitted.

DRIVE SHAFTS

May be shortened or lengthened or you may use slip drive shaft.

TRAILING ARMS & A-ARMS

May be shortened or lengthened with no more than one inch over lap. No other
reinforcement.

STEERING COLUMN/BRAKES/SHIFTER

You may change the steering column. Brakes must be stock and work. All
components must be stock. You may put shifter on the floor.

HOOD

Hood must remain in factory position. 6 hood bolts allowed only 2 may go through
the frame outside of radiator. Bolts must not be any bigger than ¾ with washers
no bigger than 6 inches outside diameter. You must have 2 holes cut in the hood
big enough for fire extinguisher. Not directly over carburetor. You may use 20
bolts around header holes no bigger than SAE 3/8 with washers no bigger than 1
inch outside diameter.

TRUNK

You can use 4 ¾ bolts in trunk and 2 may go through frame with washers no bigger
than 6 inches outside diameter. Trunk lids must remain on factory hinges.
Tucking or V’ing of trunk lid is allowed, but absolutely no wedging. You may
chain or nine wire. NO MORE THAN 50% OF TRUNK MAY BE TUCKED.

BODY

No seam welding, no patching. Pre-denting is okay.

FENDERS

Fenders may be trimmed and 10 bolts may be used per fender. Bolts are to be no
bigger than3/8 with washers no bigger than 1 inch outside diameter.

BODY MOUNT BOLTS

Must be factory. Bushings must be factory. Body bolts if missing a bolt you may
wire it for fix.

FRAME

Absolutely no welding on frame. No reinforcing of frame what so ever. You can
notch the frame. PATCHING OF FRAMES-Preran cars you can use 4-4x4x1/4 flat plate
but frame must have damage.

DOORS

Driver’s door may be welded solid with a strap no bigger than 3 inches, on the
outside only. All other doors you may weld 5 on 5 off with strap no bigger than
3 inches. Or you may chain or wire doors shut. On wagon’s tailgates NO WELDING.
You may chain or nine wire in four places.

CAGE

You may have a cage with two side bars and two cross bars. The cage cannot
extend past the dash area in the front and must be no further back than 5 inches
behind frond seat. This can be welded in. Absolutely no kickers. You may have a
halo bar. None of the cage or halo can connect to the frame. Halo cannot connect
to the windshield bars or the roof sign. You can add a third bar to cage but
must not go back any furter than where door closes on door side on 4 doors. 2
door cars must stay 4 inches in front of fender wells. NO GAS TANK PROTECTORS.

BUMPERS

Must be 80 and newer bumper. They can be welded on with 4 3x3x1/4 flat plate 2
per side or they can be wired, chained or bolted from mount to mount. No welding
of shocks or brackets. If you have an aluminum bumper you may change it. NO
WELDING OF SKINS. Exception you can use a back bumper off any year car but must
be fastened on as stated above.

GAS TANKS

Maximum of 6 gallons of gas. Fuel cells/metal boat tanks must be placed in back
seat area and properly secured. NO STOCK TANKS. Fuel cells must be secured so
there is no movement (Do not use bungee cords for this). If tank is not secure
you will not be running. Fuel cells must have secure caps and be leak proof. All
fuel lines must have no leaks. Stock gas tanks must be removed or have holes in
them and washed out. NO PLASTIC TANKS (heavy plastic racing fuel cells may be
used). You must have a shield of metal or tin between driver and gas tank (this
may be mounted with screws).

TIRES

D.O.T. approved light truck tires. Tire inside of tire is okay. No fluid inside
of tires. No valve stem protectors. No fork lift tires, no implement tires, no
tractor tires.

This is a stock class it will remain a stock class so do not do any more than
what is stated in these rules. Do not do anything to make your car illegal after
inspection. If this happens you will be disqualified and no return of entry.
Officials have the right to re-inspect you cars at any time.
