Fast women from Starship Billiards ready to take control of Macon Speedway Saturday
MACON, Ill. – The race is on to find the fastest women in town. The gals from Starship Billiards will hit the track Saturday during Bud Light Ladies Night, presented by Y103. The five women will attempt to finish in the top two spots and qualify for the Bud Light Ladies Night championship race on Sept. 13.
It’s just part of the fun during an action packed program. Miles Chevrolet presents the Sportsman Topless 40 and Big Ten Series Street Stocks. Meanwhile, the Bud Light Ladies Night shootout is fast becoming one of the biggest parties in the Decatur area.
The gals from Starship already feel like they own the track. The ladies from Starship, 3015 Grand Prtix Drive in Decatur, will compete in a five-lap shootout. The championship qualifiers will join Jenny Kramer and Dana Damery from Rocco’s later this season. Woody’s (Aug. 9) and Pop’s Place (Aug. 30) will race on Bud Light Ladies Night to also send qualifiers to the championship race. The action was furious in the first Bud Light Ladies Night race, as the femmes from Rocco’s shrugged off the checkered flag and kept racing. So be ready for anything goes when the ladies buckle up in four-cylinder stock hornets.
All ladies are admitted for half price. Check out the race buckets. For just $20, you get a bucket, five cans of Bud Light or Bud plus the ice to keep it all cold during that hot racing on the track. Now, that’s a party to make it great summer night in the Macon Speedway grandstands. With so many ladies in the crowd, it’s a fabulous night for guys to head to the track. Look for giveaways from Budweiser. There’s some really cool merchandise, from sunglasses to T-shirts, coozies and party beads.
Macon Speedway will run seven classes with Billingsley Towing Modifieds, Big Ten Street Stocks, the Sportsman Topless 40, Outlaw Hornets, Stock Hornets, B-Mods and Illinois Lightning Sprint Series also racing. Gates open at 5 p.m. Racing starts at 7. Tickets are only $12 for general admission.
