Modifieds race for $700 to win in 95Q Firecracker 40's at Macon Speedway Saturday

MACON, Ill. – The 95Q Firecracker 40’s just got that much bigger at Macon Speedway. Just announced, the winner’s purse for the Billingsley Towing Modified 40-lap feature has grown to $700. With the division ready to race after an action-packed slam-bam thriller two weeks ago, the big purse will have the modifieds gassing it around the fifth-mile high-banked track going for the win.

But that’s just part of the fun with the Firecracker 40’s. UMP late models will race for a $1,500 to win in another 40-lap feature, and the legendary speedway will also host Sportsman, Street Stocks, Outlaw Hornets and Stock Hornets. The Donnelly Magic Number will also award a $50 gift certificate to a Street Stocks driver in the feature. The action isn’t limited to the track. CEFCU Kid’s Club will also meet, and there’s a candy drop for the kids.

Don’t miss the huge fireworks display that’s one of the best in Central Illinois every summer. It’s a Macon Speedway tradition, and we get the Fourth of July celebration going. It’s brought to you by 95Q, Decatur’s country home.

As part of a month-long promotion, IHOP will distribute coupons for redemption at 1280 E. Pershing Road in Decatur during each night of racing at Macon Speedway in June. With the purchase of one entrée and two drinks, the second entrée is free. When visiting the IHOP on East Pershing Road, ask your server for a $2 off coupon to Macon Speedway. It’s good for general admission during June.

With all of this hot racing, fans don’t miss your chance to get a souvenir race bucket. For just $20, you may purchase a souvenir bucket filled with five beers and the ice to keep it cold. Refills with five beers and more ice to chill the portable party pack are just $15.
