Dively goes for Big Ten Series late model weekend sweep in Lite Beer Twin 50's Saturday
MACON, Ill. – Brian Dively, who already scored a Midwest Big Ten Series late model victory at Macon Speedway, will go for the weekend sweep and a $2,000 payday during the Mueller Distributing Miller Lite Beer Twin 50’s Saturday on IHOP Night. The Springfield driver raced to the Big Ten late model victory Friday night at Jacksonville (Ill.) Speedway.
Big Ten late models and Billingsley Towing Modifieds will race 50-lap features in the action-packed program that always has fans on the edge of their seats. The modifieds race for $700 to win. The racing also includes action in four other divisions. The legendary speedway will unveil Miller Lite souvenir race buckets Saturday, and there’s a candy drop for the kids.
Dively won the Big Ten event at Macon Speedway on May 10, and he anxiously awaited the return to the smooth high-banked fifth-mile oval at Macon Speedway. Series points leader Ryan Little of Pleasant Plains finished second at Jacksonville, ahead of John Beck of Springfield.
In conjunction with Mueller Distributing, Macon Speedway is offering the souvenir Miller Lite race buckets. Fans may purchase five 16-ounce Miller Lites, the bucket and ice for only $20. Refills with five Miller Lites and the ice are only $15. You get to keep the bucket. That’s a great party pack on a beautiful summer night, and the bucket keeps those beers cold while watching the hot action of those 50-lap features.
As part of a month-long promotion, IHOP will distribute coupons for redemption at 1280 E. Pershing Road in Decatur during each night of racing at Macon Speedway in June. With the purchase of one entrée and two drinks, the second entrée is free, so IHOP gets the racing into gear in an action-packed month. IHOP will also distribute the coupons during each night of racing at the famed fifth-mile high banked speedway during the month of June. When visiting the IHOP on East Pershing Road, ask your server for a $2 off coupon to Macon Speedway. It’s good for general admission during June.
The ultra-competitive street stocks division at Macon Speedway just picked up more prize money with a bonus added each week from Donnelly Automotive Machine, Inc., 1298 E. Eldorado, Decatur. The Magic Number by Donnelly Automotive will award a $50 gift certificate to the store following the street stock feature. After the feature race is won, a number will be drawn from victory lane to select the prize winner from the feature race. The lucky winner receives a $50 gift certificate to Donnelly Automotive.
Also racing Saturday are street stocks, outlaw hornets, stock hornets and B-mods. Grandstands open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. Tickets are just $15 for adults. Children 11 and under are free when accompanied by a parent.
