Beach House Mini-Sprints provide action, thrills on Macon Speedway's high banks
MACON, Ill. – Macon Speedway is set to unveil the Beach House Mini-Sprint division during racing Saturday night. The highly competitive mini-sprints, the 600cc power winged machines that resemble an open-wheel midget, really know how to attack the corners on Macon Speedway's fifth-mile high banked oval.
Their appearance at Macon Speedway is the first of nine nights for the Beach House MIni-Sprints, including dates when POWRi midgets and outlaw micros return to the famed speedway.  In addition to racing at Macon Speedway on May 24, June 21, July 5, Aug. 9, Aug 30 and Sept. 13, the mini-sprints will race against POWRi machines on June 7, Aug. 16 and Sept. 6.
Bob Brady Auto Mall Raminator Night gets the top billing with the Raminator monster truck providing a car-crushing exhibition Saturday night, but the fun doesn't stop there. Macon Speedway will also hold races in Billingsley Towing Modifieds, Street Stocks, Sportsman, outlaw hornets and stock hornets, Macon Speedway will also added the exciting B-Mod class.
Gates open at 5 p.m. Saturday night while racing starts at 7.
The Beach House is located at 2301 E. Lake Shore Drive in Decatur. It's known for its seafood, inspired menu and extensive wine list. The Beach is one of Decatur's favorite dining stops.
